not illegal nor does it affect or hurt anyone else. The question here though is not one of being ‘allowed’ but more ‘accepted’. Socially it seems that any male sporting any item of typically feminine clothing is perceived as having ‘issues’ relating to either his gender, masculinity or sexuality (or all three!). Some schools have altered their uniform policy to ‘gender neutral’. This was done to allow for transgender pupils to have the I Am Rylans Friend Shirt But I will love this option to present in their preferred gender but why shouldn’t all boys be permitted to wear a skirt if they wanted to; why does the transgender label have to always be utilised to justify a male in a skirt? The mainstream designers have been trying for years (if not decades) to bring down the barriers to gendered clothing.
